Allow about a week for a straightforward wash. Drying is the part that cannot be hurried — the rug hangs until the foundation is dry through.

More than a wash

If the rug needs work beyond cleaning, it is done by hand in the same workshop:

• Moth damage — treatment and re-knotting
• Making a rug smaller
• Water and fire damage
• Having a rug valued

Questions we are asked

How do I get a price beforehand?
Send photographs of the front and the back with the measurements by WhatsApp, or let us look at the rug when we collect. Nothing is started before you have a figure.

Do you only take valuable rugs?
No. Machine-made rugs, kilims, Berbers, Nepal and Tibetan pieces and fine Orientals all go through the workshop. If a wash is not worth the money on a particular rug, we say so.

Can I bring the rug myself?
Of course. The showroom is at Ludwigstraße 21 in Lohr am Main, with customer parking directly in front.
