The fillings change between dark blue, light blue, ivory, olive and orange without a fixed rhythm — a vocabulary taken from Qashqai flatweaving and translated here into knotted pile. The ground is a warm \u003cstrong\u003eterracotta\u003c\/strong\u003e with distinct abrash: the depth of colour moves across the surface because the hand-spun yarn was dyed in separate lots. A chain of small ivory cross-stars runs around the field. The \u003cstrong\u003egolden-yellow main border\u003c\/strong\u003e carries a large blue sawtooth band, also from the kilim tradition, with narrow orange and dark blue stripes
