Free of old tribal conventions, its weavers drew on the whole repertoire of classical Persian design and soon became known for some of the finest knotting in the country. Around it, \u003cstrong\u003eten floral bouquets\u003c\/strong\u003e of roses, peonies, cornflowers and sprays of small blossoms are arranged in perfect mirror symmetry on the \u003cstrong\u003eivory field\u003c\/strong\u003e, with a woven \u003cstrong\u003eflower basket\u003c\/strong\u003e in each corner and delicate vines tracing the edges. The bouquets recall the European rose motifs that Persian weavers have made their own since the 19th century.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSeveral narrow guard stripes in olive and brown frame the field. The broad \u003cstrong\u003erose-beige main border\u003c\/strong\u003e alternates large red and blue star rosettes with cartouches of pink roses, finished by a deep red outer band.
