Origin & Design
A finely knotted Qum (Ghom) silk rug from the city of Qum in central Persia, the centre of the finest Persian silk weaving. Pile and foundation are 100% silk, which is what allows the very small knots and the crisp, detailed drawing. The design is a classic floral medallion: a luminous gold-yellow centrepiece and corner frames set against a deep black ground, with delicate flower sprays throughout. A woven signature cartouche in the upper border marks it as the work of a named master weaver.
Material & Make
Hand-knotted in pure silk, with a low pile of roughly 0.4 cm that gives the surface its characteristic sheen and lets the colours shift with the light. A genuine one-of-a-kind collector piece, new and unused.

At 77 × 57 cm (2.5 × 1.9 ft) this is a small, precious format — ideal as a wall piece, on a console or side table, or as an accent on a larger plain rug. A silk rug of this fineness is best placed away from heavy foot traffic so its sheen and detail stay the focus.
