Loribaft Atash — A Refined Gabbeh in Madder Red
The Loribaft is the refined cousin of the Gabbeh: a contemporary interpretation of the traditional nomadic Persian rug, with a tighter weave, finer wool and clearer compositional discipline. Atash denotes the especially fine Loribaft grade — a higher knot density that allows the crisp, disciplined border rows seen here. This piece carries a deep madder-red gradient across a quiet open field, framed by narrow geometric bands with small, sparing accents. The colour is built entirely from natural plant-based pigments on Persian highland wool, giving the surface its living abrash and depth.
