Design Heritage

The Jaipur Nostalgia collection is a contemporary designer rug programme — hand-knotted in India under modern design supervision, drawing on the visual vocabulary of classical North African and Persian weaving traditions. The „Casablanca“ design reinterprets the Beni Ourain tribal lattice of Morocco’s Middle Atlas: a subtle zigzag trellis that gives the rug an architectural rhythm without committing to a single saturated colour story.

This piece is a contemporary hand-knotted designer rug in 100 % soft wool. The Casablanca lattice is drawn at a density that gives the surface clear pattern legibility while keeping a soft, tactile hand. The palette pairs warm beige with grounding brown accents — a combination that reads as a quiet, versatile anchor for many rooms.

Colour and Composition

The palette is built on a muted beige-and-brown register that is widespread in contemporary interior design. The wool yarns catch the light in subtly varying shades, so the design reads as quiet rather than overtly decorated.

Presence in the Room

At 150 × 250 cm (3.75 m²) this is a medium-format piece. Three contexts in which the Casablanca comes into its own:

• Modern living room: the Moroccan-inspired lattice and the beige palette make it a versatile sofa rug for contemporary interiors built around natural materials.
• Bedroom anchor: the soft wool gives a warm, tactile foundation for bare feet, and the muted register pairs naturally with linen and pale wood.
• Designer office or study: the disciplined lattice provides quiet visual structure beneath a writing desk or reading chair without competing with other design elements.
