A large room format. Under a dining table it takes eight comfortably, with the 60 to 70 cm of clearance a chair needs on every side. In a living room it carries a full seating group with all legs on the carpet, and in a bedroom it runs under a king bed with warm floor left on both sides and at the foot.
This is also the size at which the classical Persian medallion designs come into their own — the composition is drawn to be seen whole, and at 350 cm there is room for the field to open out.
