Rugs approx. 300 × 400 cm
At twelve square metres a rug stops decorating a room and starts defining it. This format carries a dining table for eight to ten with full chair clearance, or an entire seating arrangement in a large living room, and it takes the echo out of a high-ceilinged space in a way no smaller piece does.
Rooms of this scale are rarely standard, so this is often the point at which a commission makes more sense than a compromise. We weave to measure in any format — see made-to-measure rugs.
